Animal Crossing: New Horizons Playtime

Since I was given my very own Nintendo Switch console, I've been having the most fun playing Animal Crossing. I do have a couple of other games, such as Pikmin 4 and Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble. However, today I will be talking all about ACNH, because it is my favorite of the few games I own. I have become very invested in it over the past few months. I remember when I first began my play through. I chose the name “Sunnyside” for my town. Why? You might be thinking? I wanted the title to have a warm, happy vibe to it. One that is very inviting as well. Over time, a variety of villagers have come and gone. In my current residence, there is Filbert, Megan, Buck, Pompom, Avery, Murphy, Merengue, Tia, and…..Hans. I have been waiting for Hans to move out, but he refuses to go anywhere for some reason. I never wanted him there to begin with. I'm fairly certain he was one of my earliest campsite visitors. Filbert is my favorite of all the villagers. He is the cutest little guy and is just wholesome! My heart melts when I find him somewhere and he greets me with such joy. He loves talking about bugs, and I can't get enough of it.

For my island's theme, I'm aiming for a forest core setting, but it hasn't been an easy task to achieve. I have been planting trees and flowers everywhere to convey the feeling of being in a giant forest with critters. It was going smoothly when I was just beginning to gain inspiration for my idea. Until I had to remove a ton of flowers!! Some areas got overgrowth after I didn't play for a while. I'm still working to clear out spots that are completely covered. Most of the flowers are duplicates, it doesn't look appealing at the moment. If any readers have played ACNH, then you should know about the ordinances features. The one I picked first was Keep Town Beautiful. I'm almost certain it had an affect on the growth of the plants. With that being said, I only plant a few occasionally now. I don't want too many trees around either, because then that could lead to the possibility of Isabelle telling me the town is too rural. That is not the goal here.

I have put over a hundred hours into the game and still have a lot to do! I refuse to time travel like other players have done. I want each day to follow real life time on the dot. Which keeps me wanting to routinely check in on Sunnyside. The events I've participated in so far have been entertaining. The Wedding Season one was a bit confusing until I figured out how it worked. It was lovely at first, until it lost it's charm and got repetitive. The Bug Fest had to be my favorite of the summer season. As the game transitions into Autumn, I'm intrigued to see what other events will be happening. I can't wait until the leaves begin to change into an orange color! Then everyone in town will start dressing up in warm, cozy attire. I will be making an effort to visit the museum's café daily for a coffee. Sometimes I wish tea or hot chocolate was included in the game. In reality, I prefer those drinks over coffee.

I have upgraded my house a couple of times, so I have two other rooms with the main one. I'm very eager to get an upstairs room. I decided on a red and white theming for the front room. Red seems to be the default color of most of the furniture I've received. I'm gonna go with it until I gain the motivation to customize everything to a different color scheme later on. The next room in the house is my bedroom, which has a pink and white theme. It's nothing fancy, just a simple room with a white wooden bed with a pink blanket, and the rest of the furniture I customized to be white. I would include pictures, but I've never tried to transfer photos from my switch to my other devices yet. The newest room is current a WIP, it's going to be an art studio.
